Italian style Interior Design

Decor - Italian style wall Decoration : How to achieve the look of a wall fresco: In Italy, fresco have traditionally been painted directly on walls of villas, palaces, and churches. If you want to achieve a similar look in your own home (i.e. that your fresco was actually painted on the walls of your house / villa) and have a more traditional Italian decor there are three methods you can use to display one of our panel fresco:

Mode 1: For a framed Italian fresco: One way to display a fresco painting is to set the painting inside a frame prepared precisely to the dimensions of the wall. In this way , the fresco will look like it was painted right on your wall but you will still have the advantage of being able to easily remove the fresco from the wall if need be (for example , if your house needs repairs because the roof is leaking) . In addition, if you move, you can take the painting with you more easily . Note the fresco frame is about 1 inch thick so the frame* around should be thicker than that.

Example of one of our "inserted fresco"

Mode 2 : Cut the drywall and insert the fresco in the drywall . You will need a frame* to cover the edges.

Mode 3: We can just send you the canvas with the fresco attached to it. This will reduce the thickness to just a 1 – 2 tenth of an inch , and allow the fresco canvas to be glued to your wall. Once again, you will need a frame* to go around the fresco borders.

* Frame : By frame, I mean a molding . You can buy these mouldings inexpensively at Home Depot, Lowes or any home improvement store that carries building materials.

This was prepared in Italy and then inserted into the wall
